Each dog is different and will experience changes when transitioning to a raw diet. Your dog may experience loose stools, remember loose stools is not diaherra. This new raw diet is very nutrient rich and your dog will experience detoxification as they adjust to their new food.

Why is my dog pooping less?

If your dog is vomiting, there are several reasons. A normal response to detox is vomiting and your dog may experience during transition. If your dog is eating too fast they may regurgitate their food. If the vomit is a yellow and saliva filled, this is bile. Bile occurs when their stomach is empty. The dogs are used to a much "fuller" diet filled with carbs compared to a nutrient packed meal. You can try splitting the meal into smaller amounts and more frequently until the adjust.

The biggest bonus will be smaller stools! Your dogs stools will become much smaller as they are transitioning and being able to fully digest and utilize their complete meal. Kibble and "fresh cooked" food is filled with fillers, where the canines body is unable to digest, leaving you with large stools.

Do I need to add supplements, fruits, vegetables or grains?

Your dog may also change drinking habits. With kibble moisture is completely removed and has sodium added, causing your dog to drink more. Raw diets have a much higher percentage of moisture, decreasing their need to drink as much.

Do I need to add supplements, fruits, vegetables or grains?

A balanced 80/10/10 PMR diet, consisting of quality ingredients and nutrients, does not require added supplements.

Dogs with health conditions or concerns may require additional supplements.

Wadsworth Canine Raw K9 Food does not believe in feeding fruits, vegetables and grains. We follow a strict PMR (Prey Model Raw) diet. The pancreas will get strained when trying to break down fruits and vegetables. Feeding fruits, vegetables and grains can also cause yeast to increase due to sugars.

Should I feed the food frozen or thawed?
